Home Cinema Installation – Doing It Right

Home cinemas are fast becoming the latest luxury tag. There can be nothing more comfortable and cozy than watching a movie in a theatre like big screen in your house only, either alone or with friends. However, if you wish for the ultimate experience, the home cinema installation has to be done right and perfect. Any error and your entire experience may just go reverse. The following tips would help you get it right.

Be prepared for plentiful of wiring requirements
Any home cinema would require plenty of wirings to be executed. You should be prepared for it and in case you are not open to show too many wires, try to get them concealed in the walls or in elegant wooden paneling at any suitable place. Proper planning is a must for a ‘neat and tidy’ wiring.

Structural components may be required
Your sound system or even the large screen TV will obviously require a sturdy support. Thus, it’s important that you choose your equipment first and then go ahead with getting the preparation right in the interiors.

Special audio-visual furniture
Even your lounging furniture to all others, each must be special professional audio visual furniture. This is important so that the sound gets properly absorbed and do not bounce in the wrong direction.

Select right surface materials
It’s important to realize that everything in the room will affect the quality of the sound. Thus even surface materials should be properly selected. For instance, hardwood or concrete floors will obviously reflect too much sound. Incase such surfaces are used, they have to be covered with carpets, drapes etc. to absorb the sound. Ideally, even the walls must be built or treated for optimal acoustics.

The interior colors
Bright colors should never be considered for the room as they reflect on to the projector or TV screen and adversely affects the image quality. Dark colors are best advised.

Getting the acoustics right
It’s best to hire an acoustic expert to get the perfect sound and enjoy the optimal cinema experience. The placement of the sound systems plays a vital part in it. A little care can really amp up your cinematic experience.
